What is the Pomodoro Technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. It uses focused work intervals (traditionally 25 minutes) separated by short breaks, with a longer break after every 4 sessions. The method reduces the impact of interruptions and improves sustained concentration.

How it works

  1. Choose a task to work on
  2. Work on it for one full Pomodoro (25 min default)
  3. Take a 5-minute short break
  4. After 4 Pomodoros, take a longer 15-minute break

How to Use

  2. 2Click Start to begin the countdown timer.
  3. 3Work until the timer rings, then click Start again to begin your break.
  4. 4After 4 work sessions, take a long break — the tool tracks your session count automatically.
