Does the image get uploaded to a server?

No. All cropping is done entirely in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API. Your images never leave your device, so your data stays completely private.

What aspect ratios are supported?

You can crop freely with no fixed ratio, or lock to common ratios: 1:1 (square), 4:3 (standard), 16:9 (widescreen), and 3:2 (classic photo). Just click the ratio button before or after drawing your crop area.

What output formats can I download?

You can save the cropped image as JPEG, PNG, or WebP. JPEG and WebP support quality adjustment (1–100%), while PNG is lossless. Choose the format that best fits your use case.

Can I crop any image size?

Yes, the tool supports images up to 20 MB. The cropping interface scales the image to fit your screen while preserving the full original resolution in the downloaded crop.

How do I adjust the crop area precisely?

Drag any of the 8 handles — 4 corners and 4 edge midpoints — to resize the crop box. Drag the interior to reposition it. The rule-of-thirds grid overlay helps with composition. The crop dimensions in pixels are shown below the canvas in real time.
